WELCOME TO OAKWOOD ART STUDIO
After a wonderful year at our Mill Street location in downtown Ortonville, we’ve made the heartfelt decision to close our brick-and-mortar studio at the end of June.
This isn’t goodbye however, it’s the beginning of an exciting next chapter. Thanks to the overwhelming success of our on-the-go painting experiences at places like Abraham Ranch and Black Cat Beanery, we’ll be focusing our energy on bringing art directly to you. These events have been joyful, community-filled, and creatively inspiring, and we can’t wait to
do more.
Stay tuned for updates on new classes and pop-up events happening throughout the area. Whether it’s painting with animals on the farm, sipping lattes while creating, or crafting in the park, we’re just getting started.
Thank you for supporting us, and for making Oakwood Art Studio more than just a place, but a movement.

Black Cat Beanery
New Paint & Sip date coming soon
Black Cat Beanery believes one simple truth : providing the best possible experience for both our feline residents and our human guests will allow us to find forever homes for more cats. Every aspect of the cafe prioritizes quality over quantity. Our shelter (operated by our non-profit organization Black Cat Society) houses no more than 15 cats at a time, to maximize their socialization and personalized care.
